Group Volunteer Opportunities

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Working together to give back to the community is a great team building opportunity for corporate, civic and faith groups.  Volunteer groups may help receive and sort donations, count goods, stock shelves and general help like moving items, cleaning, etc in our food pantry and thrift shop. If your group is interested in volunteering with NFCC, click the button below to fill out the form and we will contact you to schedule your group.

NFCC is currently only able to accommodate adult and high school groups and has limited Saturday opportunities available.

There are no evening hours available at this time.

We can comfortably accommodate groups of 14 or fewer during the week. The minimum size for a group is four.

We ask our groups to be flexible, but some likely tasks in the food pantry and thrift store are:

• receiving and sorting donations
• counting goods
• stocking shelves
• moving items
• cleaning floors, shelves, windows, etc.
• organizing shelves
• hanging and tagging clothes
• lift or move heavy items

You will not be required to complete any tasks you are unable to. You may be outside. You will not be working directly with our clients.

Everyone in your group will need to create a VolunteerHub account and sign up for the event. Please do not bring valuables or large purses/backpacks. We cannot be responsible for your personal items. You may bring a water bottle and a snack.

Closed-toed shoes are a must! Wear comfortable, modest clothing. You may get a little bit dirty, so plan accordingly. We have gloves if you ask for them.

We have limited parking on site, so please park across the street from the thrift store in the lot marked “NFCC Overflow Parking”.  If you cannot find parking there, you may park nearby at Cross of Life Church (1000 Hembree Rd) and carpool to NFCC.  Details on parking will be sent to you via email once you are scheduled.
