This is the North Fulton Community Charities, Inc. (“NFCC”) Website Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). NFCC owns and maintains the Internet website located at www.nfcchelp.org. NFCC values individual privacy and we want to give our website visitors, clients, donors and volunteers the opportunity to know what information we collect about them through our website and how they can limit or restrict the use of personally identifiable information beyond the purposes for which they first provided it. At all times, however, NFCC reserves the right to disclose information where required by law or to comply with our contracts or valid legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order), to protect NFCC’s rights or property, including without limitation in the event of a transfer of control of NFCC or substantially all of its assets, or during emergencies when safety is at risk.

Data We Collect and How We Use It
Personally Identifiable Information
We collect your email address if you communicate with us by email, as well as other information that you might supply voluntarily on our website, such as client, volunteer or donor information. We may use the information you provide to respond to an email or other inquiry or request, to help improve our website and our services, to customize your experience at our website, or to send updates or notices about our organization and the services we offer that we think may be of interest to you. We may also combine this information with other generally or publicly available information to help us identify visitors’ preferences or interests. We may provide information that identifies you to companies that assist us in these activities, such as helping us fulfill your request for a service or information.
NFCC does not sell, rent, or share donor information with third parties, except as noted in this Privacy Policy. Your right to opt out at any time is detailed below.
We will share personally identifiable information with third parties when (i) the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it, (ii) the third-party is performing a function on behalf of NFCC that is directly related to the operation of the Site or to a service or information provided on the Site, and access to such information is necessary to the performance of such function or to the provision of such services or information being provided, or (iii) we are required to by law to do so.
If you donate money through our site, we will also ask for your credit card number or other account number you wish to be charged, along with related information required to process your donation. We do not share your credit card or other account information with third parties unless you authorize us to do so or if it is necessary to fulfill our responsibilities, including, but not limited to, delivering information to you about your donation. We process your credit card information through a third party service provider that uses typical industry standards to secure it, but we are not responsible for their use of your credit card information, except as may be required by law. If you indicate that you desire your donation to be “in honor of” or “in memory of” a person, then we will not publish that person’s name in connection with your donation without your permission. In such a case, you represent that you have obtained the permission for such publication from such person or their representatives.
Children’s Privacy
NFCC’s website is intended for adults. NFCC does not knowingly collect personal information through our website from children under the age of 13. If NFCC obtains knowledge that it has personally identifiable information about a child under 13 that was collected via our website, NFCC will delete that information from our existing files. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide information on this Site without their permission.

If you request removal of your personal information, you acknowledge that residual information may continue to reside in NFCC’s records and archives, but NFCC will not use that information for commercial purposes. NFCC reserves the right to maintain your personal information if NFCC has suspended, limited, or terminated your access to our website for violating NFCC Terms of Use.

We use technology and internal procedures to keep any information you provide as secure as possible. All NFCC employees and volunteers must abide by NFCC’s Privacy and Confidentiality Policies. Only authorized employees and volunteers are permitted to have access to personally identifiable data about website visitors, and that access is limited to what is reasonably needed to perform an employee’s responsibilities, such as providing updates or notices or customer service. Employees or volunteers who violate our confidentiality or privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
