Upgrade Your Skills with NFCC’s Computer Training

NFCC offers a rotation of computer skills classes at different times throughout the year.

Microsoft Excel Class
Dates: March 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 13 
(Class is Full)

The Microsoft Excel class is for beginners to work with spreadsheets to format data, to create charts, and create basic formulas and functions. Students will also gain skills in sorting, filtering, and conditional formatting.

Please Note: This class is for students who are familiar with using personal computers, proficiently using a mouse and keyboard, and a advanced use of English language.

Computer classes are held in the LexisNexis computer lab at the Barbara Duffy Center.

PowerPoint Class
Dates: April 20 & April 27

The PowerPoint class will build the skills needed to create basic presentations, including how to create and format slides, add text, images, and other multimedia elements, and apply simple transitions and animations. Students also learn about using templates, themes, and basic features like saving and sharing presentations. 

Please Note: This class is for students who are familiar with using personal computers, proficiently using a mouse and keyboard, and a advanced use of English language.

Computer classes are held in the LexisNexis computer lab at the Barbara Duffy Center.

ChatGPT Workshop
Dates: May 11 & May 18

In this beginner ChatGPT workshop, you’ll learn the basics of using ChatGPT, including how to formulate effective prompts, understand its capabilities and limitations, and explore its potential applications. Students will also learn about generative AI, prompt engineering, and how to use ChatGPT for various tasks like generating text, translating languages, and even assisting with coding. 

Please Note: This class is for students who are familiar with using personal computers, proficiently using a mouse and keyboard, and a advanced use of English language.

Computer classes are held in the LexisNexis computer lab at the Barbara Duffy Center.

When available, all computer classes are scheduled for Monday evenings, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., in the LexisNexis computer lab.

Students must be 18 years of age and older.
Preference is given to applicants in the North Fulton district.
