Community Champions is an NFCC blog series recognizing the individuals, businesses, and organizations whose generosity, leadership, and commitment help strengthen our mission and community across North Fulton.
We’re honored to begin by recognizing longtime community partner LexisNexis Risk Solutions as a Community Champion.
It is called an impact call. A chance to check in, to listen, and to understand what life looks like on the other side of a difficult season.
For years, LexisNexis Risk Solutions has invested in this community not only through generosity, but through action.
Employees regularly volunteer with NFCC, organize onsite food drives, support initiatives like Back to School, and help expand access to critical resources for local families through partnerships like Pack the Pantry.
Their support also helped establish the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Technology Lab at NFCC, which provides free access to computers and resources for job seekers and GED students working to build brighter futures.
At the center of this partnership is a belief that community impact happens when people show up for one another.
Through LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ global CARES program, employees are encouraged to volunteer and engage directly with organizations making a difference where they live and work. It’s a culture rooted in connection, purpose, and shared responsibility.
Barbara Blevens, vice president of Talent Acquisition at LexisNexis Risk Solutions and incoming NFCC Board President, has seen firsthand the power of that commitment.
“We feel anyone can write a check, but it is the connection to the nonprofit that is important to us.”
That connection matters.
It matters to the parent trying to keep food on the table. It matters to the student studying for their GED after a long workday. It matters to the job seeker building a resume in the Technology Lab. It matters to every neighbor who needs support during a difficult season.
