Volunteer at NFCC
Opportunities for Individuals
Volunteer are crucial to our work serving families in need in our community. Interested in joining our volunteer team? We have a variety of ways to serve. Opportunities for individuals are available in our food pantry, thrift shop, education program, office and administration, seasonal assistance drives, events and more.
Volunteers must be age 18 and up. Students age 16-17 can learn about student opportunities here. Volunteers interested in court-related hours click here.

Ongoing Opportunities
Thrift Shop
Volunteers at NFCC Thrift Shop work hand-in-hand with staff unloading and processing donations, sorting, inspecting and pricing items, as well as stocking the shelves and racks and providing excellent customer care to our shoppers. We have openings most mornings and afternoons. Recurring and one time volunteer opportunities are available.
Education
Our Workforce Development team needs volunteer Job and Financial Coaches to work with our clients moving toward financial stability. Coaches will be paired with clients and will meet with them at NFCC. We also need GED tutors for evening sessions at our facility.
Seasonal Opportunities
Our seasonal assistance drives offer a fun and valuable way to plug in. Volunteers are needed for these programs throughout the year. Programs include Spring and Winter Senior Baskets, Back-to-School Backpacks, Warm Coats, Thanksgiving, and Toyland Shop. All volunteers for seasonal must be at least 13 years old.
At Home Projects
At home projects are a valuable way to help NFCC and the families we serve and are a great way for children under age 13 to give back to their community (though anyone of any age can participate from home).
Court-Related Volunteer Hours
NFCC offers opportunities for adults to fulfill community service volunteer hours. More information is available in the link below.
